VSTC Technology Operations

The Virginia Science and Technology Campus (VSTC) Academic Technology Operations team enriches the learning environment for our students and faculty by providing technology support, innovation, and training for classrooms and computer labs at VSTC.

Major duties of the VSTC Technology Operations Team:

  • Respond to troubleshooting calls for AV and PC equipment with as little interruption as possible.
  • Upgrade classroom equipment to meet the needs of advancing technology.
  • Support the School of Nursing’s simulations labs.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all classroom and lab technology.
  • Provide desktop support for the CPS Dean’s Office on campus.
  • Setup and support faculty, staff, and external special events on campus, including live-audio mixing.
  • Perform routine inspections on equipment for preventative maintenance.
  • Support the scheduling, distribution, maintenance, and customer assistance for technology equipment loans and rentals on campus through EMS.
  • Track technology incidents and identify recurring issues using Remedy.
  • Research hardware and software that improve customer experiences.
