Serial and Electronic Resources
The Serial and Electronic Resources team is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and support of GW Libraries’ serial and electronic resources.
The major duties of the Serial and Electronic Resources team:
- Review items selected by Collection Development librarians for purchase.
- Create purchase orders and place orders to vendors.
- Receive shipped serials and electronic resources and process for circulation and access.
- Provide access to electronic resources by maintaining link resolvers, database listings, and IP addresses.
- Manage process for ensuring licensing agreements meet the requirements of the GW Libraries and the university
- Administer, manage, and support the university’s Electronic Theses and Dissertations database, including processing and reviewing submitted theses and dissertations, coordinating activities between the university, the vendor, schools, and students, and maintaining the website
- Support electronic resources tools and maintain the electronic resources management system.
