Scholarly Technology and Library IT

The Scholarly Technology and Library IT team is responsible for providing high quality research support to all members of the GW community via discovery tools, technology support, and software development. We serve the community of scholars by enabling the discovery, manipulation, and publishing of information.

Major duties of the Scholarly Technology and Library IT team:

  • Partner with GW scholars to enhance their research through expertise in data manipulation and software development.
  • Oversee and coordinate the GWLAI "Ask Us" concierge service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all our interactions and collaborations with the GW community.
  • Develop and maintain discovery tools for GW.
  • Provide GIS and coding consultation and workshops.
  • Develop and maintain the GW institutional repository to support open access at GW.
  • Support GWLAI virtual services such as e-resource access, digital specialized collections, and room reservation systems.
  • Participate in the digitization, preservation and dissemination of the GWLAI's collections.
