Human Resources

The Human Resources Representative Team for GWLAI is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources management support and serving as the primary liaison between the division leadership and central University Human Resources functions, such as Talent Acquisition, EEO, and Compensation.

Major duties of the HR team:

  • Consult and advise the division in the development, implementation, and evaluation of human resource practices and procedures.
  • Serve as local subject matter generalists in a variety of specialty areas, including, but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Function as advocates in moving forward human capital initiatives and projects which are aligned with divisional goals and strategic initiatives, supportive of employee growth and development, and observant of overarching university compliance with federal, state and District laws and regulations which is aimed at mitigating GW’s overall risk.
