eDesign Shop

The eDesign Shop provides support to faculty across the university in designing and developing online courses. The Shop came into existence to meet the demand from GW schools for support in designing high-quality online courses, particularly the need for a centralized resource that could provide hands-on instructional design and multimedia assistance to faculty preparing to teach online.

Major duties of the eDesign Shop:

  • Support faculty across the university in designing and developing their online courses.
  • Ensure courses developed through the Shop meet rigorous online education standards.
  • Produce high-quality multimedia content tailored to individual courses.
  • Help faculty identify and properly utilize educational technology that will help their students meet learning outcomes.
  • Provide consultations, trainings and resources to faculty aimed at strengthening competencies in online course design.
