Eckles Library
Eckles Library is part of the heart and soul of GW’s Mount Vernon Campus, providing a comfortable, relaxed academic environment for study, award-winning staff for research help, and free tutoring to help our students excel.
Major duties of the Eckles Library team:
- Oversee library facilities to ensure that spaces are functional and welcoming
- In collaboration with the Communication, Outreach, and Events team and other campus partners, develop and produce events and programs for both the Mount Vernon Campus and the broader GW community
- Provide research support and instruction in the library, in the classroom, and online
- Facilitate interlibrary borrowing and lending through the Consortium Loan Service
- Administer the annual Eckles Prize for Freshman Research Excellence to honor first year students who demonstrate significant and meaningful use of library services and collections at GW
